JETOUR CELEBRATES WOMEN BEHIND THE WHEEL

South African women are firmly in the driver’s seat when it comes to choosing their own vehicles.

According to South African data and analytics company Lightstone Auto, recent data shows that women account for 39% of all financed vehicle purchases in South Africa, a number that has increased from 32% ten years ago. Over the same period, men’s share of vehicle financing dropped from 68% to 61%.

This data reflects what SUV brand Jetour has experienced within their first two years in the local market, with women playing a significant role in Jetour’s growing South African customer base. Vehicle finance data from last month showed that women accounted for more than 50% of Jetour finance applications, making them the largest identified gender group. Women are not simply showing interest in Jetour vehicles, they actually constitute over half of financed customers.

Against this backdrop, Jetour South Africa used Women’s Month to celebrate the women who are an increasingly important part of its owner community. In line with the brand’s commitment to its customers and Jetour Owners Club, these experiences create opportunities for owners to connect, while allowing the Jetour team to engage directly with customers and better understand their ownership experiences.

Women’s Day on 9 August saw ten Jetour customers treated to a day of “kicking back and relaxing” at Mangwanani River Valley near Hartbeespoort.

Each guest was also invited to bring along a special woman in their life to join them at this tranquil spa retreat nestled in the scenic Hennops River Valley.

The full-day experience included spa treatments and relaxing sessions in the jacuzzi, along with delicious breakfast, lunch, desserts, snacks and beverages. Jetour guests had their own dedicated private area and specially allocated treatment spaces. Entertainment throughout the day included singing, dancing and face painting.

Each Jetour owner also received a white embroidered gown and red roses to take home with them.

“Our female owners are an important part of the Jetour community, and our Women’s Day customer event was the perfect opportunity to celebrate them, giving them the chance to take some well-deserved time out, connect and create special memories together,” says Shaun Steynberg, Head of Marketing at Jetour South Africa.

Feedback from guests was overwhelmingly positive, with women sharing that they felt special, spoilt and celebrated, and left the experience feeling relaxed and appreciated.
