ISUZU Foundation Empowers Mossel Bay Charities through Generous Donation
MOSSEL BAY: The ISUZU Foundation is delighted to announce a substantial donation of R250,000 to three Mossel Bay charities in collaboration with IRONMAN 4 the Kidz, an official IRONMAN charity.
In line with ISUZU’s enduring dedication to the communities it serves and its partnership with IRONMAN 4 the Kids, the ISUZU Foundation has pledged R100 for each entry into the 2023 ISUZU IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay. This initiative aims to support three registered charities in the region with a specific focus on uplifting the youth.
The ISUZU Foundation operates as a joint venture between ISUZU Motors South Africa and its Dealer Network. Contributions to the foundation are made equally by ISUZU and its dealers for every vehicle sold. Since 2010, this collaborative effort has facilitated grants exceeding R19 million, benefiting approximately 95 projects.
The supported charities include the Education and Training Hub for Autism (ETHAN), Creating Effective Families, and Eden Protocol. ETHAN provides assistance and education to children and families dealing with autism, while Creating Effective Families offers a haven of safety and guidance for women and children affected by domestic violence, violent crimes, and substance abuse. Eden Protocol focuses on fostering the confidence, resilience, and commitment of youth through sports such as swimming, surfing, and lifesaving, providing a secure space for them to develop new skills and rekindle hope and passion.
Marcia Mayaba, ISUZU Department Executive for Dealer and Business Development in South African Customs Union Markets (SACU), emphasizes the ISUZU Foundation’s belief in the youth as the future and their duty to make a meaningful impact on their social and emotional well-being. Mayaba expresses deep honor in extending support to the three charities, trusting that the donation will significantly contribute to uplifting the surrounding communities.
The ISUZU Foundation has positively impacted the lives of numerous South Africans, focusing on projects that address the needs of communities, particularly those facing vulnerability in disadvantaged areas.
Mayaba concludes with gratitude, thanking ISUZU Motors South Africa and the Dealer Network for their unwavering commitment and support in boldly doing more for communities in the long run.
