ISUZU Secures Fourth Consecutive Win at SAVRALA Manufacturer of the Year Awards

ISUZU Motors South Africa remains committed to meeting customer needs through top-notch products and services, as reflected in its continued success at the 28th annual Southern African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (SAVRALA) Manufacturer of the Year 2023 (MOTY) Awards.

During the awards ceremony in Johannesburg on October 19, ISUZU clinched the Overall SAVRALA Manufacturer of the Year title for the fourth consecutive year. This prestigious award considers both Rental and Leasing scores, with ISUZU earning the Overall Gold Winner in the Leasing category for the fourth year running and the Bronze Winner in the Rental Category, having previously secured Gold in the Rental Category for three consecutive years.

In addition to these accolades, ISUZU received the Value Award for achieving the highest score in the financial section of the Leasing Category Survey for the second time in the last three years.

“Despite the challenging economic climate, ISUZU takes pride in its performance over the past year,” said Craig Uren, Senior Vice President: Revenue Generation, Southern African Customs Union (SACU) at ISUZU Motors South Africa. “We are grateful for these awards and appreciate the recognition of ISUZU’s commitment to supporting our rental and leasing partners. Adapting our business strategies to meet our goals and address our customers’ needs has been crucial.”

Geraldine Pillay, Business Partner Rental and Leasing (LCV & SUV) at ISUZU Motors South Africa, received the Best Account Representative in the Leasing section award for the second consecutive year. Pillay, with 16 years of experience at ISUZU, continues to excel in the automotive industry.

“Our people are at the heart of our business strategy, and we value their contributions to our success,” explained Uren. “ISUZU’s investment in human capital development ensures a competitive workforce, fostering growth and innovation in the automotive sector.”

The MOTY Awards rely on surveys completed by 35 major Rental and Leasing companies in South Africa, evaluating criteria such as communication with manufacturers, support, maintenance issue resolution, financial aspects, and B-BBEE compliance. A knowledgeable panel ensures an objective, industry-wide perspective, aiding manufacturers in enhancing service delivery to the rental and leasing industries.

ISUZU remains dedicated to its ethos of being a motivated team that consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience.
